Government recommends CCTV Systems

Here in Cebu Philippines, some municipality makes an ordinance requiring Bank, ATM's , Pawnshops, Money Changers, Money Lenders and other establishments rendering similar and related services to the public situated in the city to install safety and security devices like surveillance systems and alarms.

As per, Mayor of Ilo-Ilo City Philippines, Jerry P. TreƱas, closed circuit television CCTV will help the authorities in identifying culprits and tracking them to solve problems.

I think, most often than not, the lack of these security devices encourage criminal elements to commit daring acts.

I agree, even though many people complain that their right to privacy is being threatend by one of these camera's it does reduce crime. Or at least stops alot of the small time criminals.
